Art Pete Pete Ashton is (becoming) an artist

CiB Shop Triptych

I went on a brief photo walk today from the Bullring down to the delightful Pershore St car park and back again. The results will be processed soon but when I got back to base I took a few bursts of the Created in Birmingham Shop and got this sequence:

CiB Shop Triptych

This is designed to work as a 12×5″ print and I’m going to order a few to have in the shop itself later next week.

I’ve been wanting to play with triptychs for a while now but hadn’t really found the right format. As you can see, they don’t really work that well in the 500px wide default size for Flickr et al (here it is at a more useful 1024px wide) so I’ve never considered them a useful format given most of my audience is online. But print opens up new opportunities. It’ll be interesting to see how they come out.

And, of course, it’ll be nice to sell prints of the shop in the shop. That pleases me no end.

About

Art-Pete is the blog of Pete Ashton when he's thinking about art. It primarily contains photos and videos of work he's completed in this quest. The majority of his writing occurs on his main blog.

Through 2010 this blog was the home of TTV Pete where I talked about and sold my Through The Viewfinder photos. That stuff is still in the archives but I've moved on. Through 2011 this blog was a little confused but I think I've figured it out now.
