Exhibition at the Exchange

exchange_signOn the evening of Tuesday March 2nd you are invited to the opening of my first gallery exhibition at the Moseley Exchange in Moseley.

Which is all very exciting!

Along with photographers Emily Quinton and Dan Burwood my work will be on display during March for all to see. But do come on the 2nd as there’ll be drinks and nibbles and all that.

I’m not sure what I’ll be exhibiting. I’ve been spending a lot on stock lately, most of which will be in the Created in Birmingham shop, so I don’t really have the funds to get work framed for a show.

Then it occurred to me. Part of the TTV thing is the DIY aesthetic of making the camera out of cardboard and duct tape. So why not make the exhibit out of cardboard and duct tape? It’d certainly bring the costs down and give me a bit of freedom to play with my images.

So that’s what I’ll be doing. You can see the results from March 2nd at the Exchange.

I hope to come along either to the shop or the exchange when I’m in the area in March. I have an Ensign Ful-Vue off ebay to play with soon as well as the Duaflex. This TTV is very addictive!

About

Art-Pete is the blog of Pete Ashton when he's thinking about art. It primarily contains photos and videos of work he's completed in this quest. The majority of his writing occurs on his main blog.

Through 2010 this blog was the home of TTV Pete where I talked about and sold my Through The Viewfinder photos. That stuff is still in the archives but I've moved on. Through 2011 this blog was a little confused but I think I've figured it out now.
