Shooting TTV in the Snow

Matt Murtagh posted this beautifully composed photo of me shooting in Highbury Park in the January snowstorm.

It with taken with his Hasselblad using actual photographic film. None of this point-a-digicam-through nonsense for our Matt. He’s old school.

You might be wondering what I’m photographing. I think it’s this.

Winding On

Here’s a better photo of Matt and his camera.

You’ll notice my trousers are a little damp. By this point I’d been tromping through the snow for two hours and was starting to feel the effects. But it was worth it as anyone who’s seen the Highbury Park Snow Grid will testify.

One Response to Shooting TTV in the Snow

  1. Lawson Bant says:

My enthusiasm for snow photography wanes with the intensity of snow showers. The attraction of staying in a warm house usually wins over the hassle of getting snow photographs. However as soon as the snow starts to disappear it all seems immensely attractive to be out there taking the shots. I admire your dedication to the cause!

About

Art-Pete is the blog of Pete Ashton when he's thinking about art. It primarily contains photos and videos of work he's completed in this quest. The majority of his writing occurs on his main blog.

Through 2010 this blog was the home of TTV Pete where I talked about and sold my Through The Viewfinder photos. That stuff is still in the archives but I've moved on. Through 2011 this blog was a little confused but I think I've figured it out now.
